American Express to provide refunds for Cardmembers who purchased Zoom
Airlines tickets with an American Express Card

TORONTO, Aug. 28 /CNW/ - American Express has announced that it will provide refunds to Cardmembers who purchased air tickets on Zoom Airlines with their American Express Cards and are now unable to take their scheduled flights because of the airline's decision to cease operations.
Cardmembers will be refunded the full amount of their unused ticket and applicable taxes and surcharges. For Cardmembers stranded mid-trip, American Express will provide a refund on the unused portion of the original ticket plus applicable taxes and surcharges.
American Express suggests Cardmembers seeking a refund on unused Zoom Airlines tickets call the number provided on the back of their Card for further information and assistance.
"American Express is doing everything possible to ensure our Cardmembers are not out-of-pocket for lost Zoom Airlines expenses," said Denise Pickett, President and CEO, American Express Canada.
