Hi everyone,

We are about to release a new tool for personal note taking. It will be kind of like a notepad where you can jot down ideas, reminders, or research. We also want to allow you to link your notes to different things like trades. You can attach extra information such as your reasoning at the time, etc.

Before we release, we want to get some input from the community as to how you might want to use such a tool. This is so that we can refine it and make sure we are going in the right direction. Please feel free to discuss and we promise that we will take every opinion into account.

Sounds great! I was about to suggest something similar.

Maybe sometimes you would want to make a note on current news events that occur on online news sites (ie yahoo) and then you'd want to hyperlink it to that article so you remember where you got it from.

Maybe something like an insert datestamp would be nice just so you know when you made that note and to relate to any current news.

We've finally launched the Notes! Thanks to all the members who gave us some great suggestions - we have incorporated a lot of them into the tools. We will continually be building on the Notes, adding functionality, and integrating it with other tools on this site. Please let us know what you think so far!

I think the notes feature is great! Might help if we can write notes directly from our portfolios for convenience sake.
